Munnar, once the summer capital of the British in India, has a vast stretch of hills covered with tea plantations, winding paths, and brief occurrences of Shola forests. Kannan Devan Hills is the name for those hills where Munnar is located. Catch the beauty of the nature before it vanishes, as most of the forests are already cleared for tea plantations. You might sight Nilgiri Tahrs, the endangered mountain goats along the patches of forest covered hills. Spend the rest of the night at a Munnar hotel.
Second day starts with breakfast and some serene moments at Echo Point and Mattupetty Dam. You can add some action with speed boating in the Mattupetty waters. You can sight forests, grasslands, and tea plantations in the dam vicinity. You’ll spend the rest of the day doing leisurely activities and then return to Munnar for the last night stay.
After breakfast leave for Cochin, where you can do some shopping and then take a departure to your destinations.
