Our tour guide welcomes you at Trivandrum International Airport/Railway Station and takes you to a resort, The Travancore Heritage. Kovalam beach is a picturesque setting with a vast stretch of fine white sand, coconut and palm trees, and activities by fishermen. You may sight visitors from different countries lazing on the beach chairs, or involved in surfing.
On the second day, visit the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, considered as the richest of all Hindu temples in the world. There are stories behind the wealth about the secret door that opens by particular chant or sound vibrations, and Darshan of Lord Vishnu to Swamiyar. Alappuzha or Alleppey is a place in South India where you can see and stay in luxurious, traditional bamboo houseboats. It would be worthwhile to mention that Lord Curzon described Alleppey as “the Venice of the East.” You can also enjoy the snake boat race on the Second Saturday of August every year.
Thekkady wildlife sanctuary is a home to gaur (the largest Indian bison), wild elephants, the great Indian tiger, deer and many other animals. Boat cruise on Periyar Lake along the submerged trees, enjoying the scenic beauty of the forest is also famous. You may frequently come across sightings of bison and wild elephants on the banks of the lake. You’ll spend the night at Green Woods.
On the fifth morning you’ll be covering some of the interesting locations in Munnar like lush green Mattupetty, Eco-Point, misty hills of Pothmedu, and Tea Museum.
